Our story
RareMagic started where most photographers start: on real jobs, with real clients, learning what actually works. That practical experience became teaching — first informally, then as structured training for photographers who wanted a shorter path than trial and error.
Over the years the work widened. Craft came first. Then technology, as AI changed what a small studio could produce. Then business, because skill without pricing, positioning and clients does not pay. Today RareMagic spans education, tools and community for creatives across Africa and the diaspora.

We teach in rooms, not only on screens.
Alongside the online programs, RareMagic runs conferences, masterclasses, workshops and community gatherings where photographers learn together, see live demonstrations and meet the people they have only known online.
The Launch26 Conference is our flagship gathering — a full-scale event built around the same three pillars as the Academy: craft, technology and business.

Oluseyi Magic
Wedding photographer, educator and founder of RareMagic. Everything taught in the Academy comes out of paid work — client shoots, deadlines, difficult light and real pricing conversations — translated into lessons photographers can apply immediately.
